FTL

Full Truckload

When your shipment fills a trailer — or when it simply can't share one — full truckload is the fastest, safest way to move it. One truck, one driver, one door-to-door run.

With FTL, your freight is loaded once at your dock and unloaded once at its destination. No terminals, no cross-docking, no other shippers' cargo pressed against yours. That means faster transit, dramatically lower damage risk, and a delivery window you can actually plan around.

Every Action Express truckload runs with live GPS tracking and a dedicated rep who knows your account. If anything threatens the schedule — weather, traffic, a dock delay — you hear it from us first, with a recovery plan already in motion.

We aren't limited to a fleet of our own, and that's the point: we source from a vetted carrier network deep enough to put a trailer at your dock same-day or next-day, in whatever equipment the load actually needs. During your peak season, clients on our priority list get capacity commitments locked in ahead of time.

What you get

Door-to-door, no transfers

Loaded once, unloaded once. Your freight never sits in a terminal.

Same/next-day capacity

A deep vetted carrier network — a truck when you need one, not when a fleet frees up.

Live GPS on every load

Watch your trailer move in real time — no check calls needed.

Dedicated account rep

One person who knows your docks, your hours, your freight.

Common questions

How fast can you have a truck at my dock?+

Same-day is often possible depending on lane and booking time; next-day is standard. Expedited pickups can be arranged in hours — call dispatch for a firm time.

Do you handle drop trailers?+

Yes — for regular shippers we arrange drop trailers positioned at your facility so your team loads on your schedule, not the driver's.

What if my freight doesn't fill a trailer?+

If you're under ~10 pallets, LTL is usually more economical — see our Less Than Truckload service, or ask your rep to price both.

Do you run truckloads between Canada and the US?+

Yes — cross-border is a core lane for us, in both directions, through eight major crossings. The same truck and driver carry the load the whole way; nothing is handed to another carrier at the line. See our cross-border page for the crossings and how clearance works.
